Sales is an important discipline in every organization, but it’s especially true for a software company. These positions require a unique skill set that includes an outgoing, relatable personality, while also being able to effectively communicate how a technical product works and helps alleviate a prospect’s pain points. That’s why this month’s spotlight is on Josh Davis, a member of the CosmoLex Sales team.

What is your role at CosmoLex?

I am an Account Executive on the Sales team here at CosmoLex. I help potential clients figure out if the program will be a good fit and guide them through our process to help make an informed decision.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I love interacting with people from all over the United States and Canada. It’s great to get so many perspectives and speak with a wide array of people. When you’ve got a person that is honestly trying to better their business, you’re on a personal level that is a pleasure to experience.

What makes CosmoLex a unique place to work?

CosmoLex is unique in that everyone here truly wants to help in any way possible. I had never worked a job where each employee wanted what was best for the client and was willing to go above and beyond to ensure that happens. This program really is a game-changer for law firms and everyone at CosmoLex has that same sense and understanding.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I’m a very active person. Whether it be running, swimming, hunting, or cycling, you’ll always find me moving if I’m not in the office.

Describe one interesting fact about yourself.

I’ve hiked over 250 miles on the Appalachian Trail. I’m not sure how interesting that actually is unless you’re into hiking!

What did you want to be when you were a little kid?

I wanted to be a geographer. Growing up, exploring the woods always piqued my interest in nature. As I got older, I realized that was a very scientific field and that aspiration quickly withered away.
