Executive Perspective: CosmoLex’s Week in Canada

CosmoLex-Legal-Events-Toronto-Canada

This November, CosmoLex spent a packed week attending legal events in Toronto, Canada. As part of our commitment to provide Canadian lawyers with the latest in practice management solutions, we’ve been attending conferences and hosting events to help lawyers stay competitive and learn about what cloud practice management means for them. As President of CosmoLex, my goal is to make sure lawyers have all the information they need to make the best decisions for their practice growth.

Here’s where we were last week:

Ontario Bar Association TECHxpo

November 12

This all-day conference gave attendees valuable insight into what technology options are available for their firm, how they can get the most out of them, and what the future holds for legal tech. With live training sessions and demonstrations, this conference was highly informative not only for lawyers evaluating their software choices, but also for those looking to maximize their efficiency using those tools.

Legal Tech Lunch & Learn

November 13

CosmoLex hosted another Legal Tech Lunch and Learn with a session aimed at helping lawyers better understand cloud practice management and the impact it can have on a firm. Attendees were also able to network with other Toronto-based lawyers. Lunch and learns are a great way to get together with industry peers and leaders and we plan to host many more of these events in the near future.

Law Practice Management Bootcamp

November 14

We put together an exclusive training boot camp for CosmoLex users to help make sure they’re using all of the features and tools to their maximum potential. Together with Jacques Tjonasan, President of Accounting for Law and Romesh Hettiarachchi, host of the Lawtreprenuer Briefing, we showed users best practices, advanced accounting techniques and how to bill and get paid faster. Those who joined us also learned how to create advanced reports to get critical insights into how their law firm is doing.

For CosmoLex, part of being a part of the Canadian legal community means making sure lawyers have a clear understanding of how technology can help their firm grow, what their options are, and how to get the most they can out of their tech tools. Special thanks to Accounting for Law for helping to make this trip a productive and memorable one! Keep an eye out for CosmoLex at future events!
