CosmoLex Employee Spotlight: Laurie Guthrie

CosmoLex-Employee-Spotlight-Laurie-Guthrie

This month’s employee spotlight is on Laurie Guthrie, a member of the CosmoLex Client Relations team. Client relations teams are often the unsung hero of companies for the fact that their role is focused on one-on-one customer communication. Whether it be via email, phone, or online meeting, the CosmoLex team is in constant communication with our clients to make sure their needs are met and to offer help every step of the way.

Get to know Laurie Guthrie and our Client Relations Department by checking out the interview below:

What is your role at CosmoLex? I am the Manager of the Client Relations Department and also Office Manager/Operations Manager for CosmoLex.

What is your favorite part of your job? I really like working with and interacting with all the clients of CosmoLex. I enjoy the fact that the Client Relations Department is where our clients can come for anything and everything. We are here to make sure that we are all doing everything we can, in every department, to make sure that our clients are finding the success that they need and want. I also love that, in Client Relations, it is about cultivating and maintaining the relationships with all of our clients. It is great to get to know them outside of just being a number on our board but as people, too.

What makes CosmoLex a unique place to work? The growth opportunities are more than I have ever seen anywhere else. CosmoLex recognizes the strength of each person and does everything they can to help the person achieve not only known goals but goals they didn’t even know they had. I started at CosmoLex as the Office Coordinator just a few years ago and then I  was given the opportunity and guidance to build our client relations and onboarding from the ground up.

What do you like to do in your free time? What is free time??? My husband and I are the parents to 8 year old twins who like to fill all our potential free time and then some. However, when I do have the occasional bit, I enjoy going to NY to see a Broadway show with friends.

Describe one interesting fact about yourself.  From 1991 – 2011 I participated as a performer and choreographer in over 55 Musicals throughout NJ and Florida community theatres.

What did you want to be when you were a little kid? One would think that with my background in theatre and dance that I wanted to grow up and be a dancer or on Broadway, however, believe it or not that was never really the case. For a long time, I wanted to be a lawyer but then somewhere around high school it switched to a high school history teacher specializing in early American history.
